ABOUT THE GUIDE

LocalMacon is for people who actually want to use Macon.

Find something happening, figure out where it fits, and leave with a plan that feels local rather than copied from a brochure.

Meet the publisher.

I’m Jeremy Carter, a Knoxville-based small-business owner and the publisher of the Local Network. LocalMacon is published by Salt and Sand Publishing, a publishing brand of Salt and Sand LLC. Each city guide combines researched local stories, public event sources and practical planning information.

For corrections, event suggestions or advertising, you can reach me directly at saltandsandllc@outlook.com. I welcome tips from people and businesses who know Macon well.

Local questions first.

We focus on the questions people ask before a real day out: what is happening, what is free, what works with kids, where should we eat, where should we park, and which part of town makes the most sense next.

Useful beats exhaustive.

Local guides are stronger when they help you choose. We would rather explain how neighborhoods, events, food, weather, parking and the city’s story fit together than bury the answer under a hundred interchangeable listings.

Clear about sponsorships.

Paid placements are labeled. They do not change the factual event information or the editorial guidance around them.

Sources, corrections and automation.

We link to useful official sources, preserve organizer links on event listings and use automated tools to help gather, organize and format public information. Automation is not treated as an official source. See our editorial standards and corrections policy for the full approach.
