LocalMacon uses first-party, cookieless analytics to understand which pages are useful and to measure local sponsorship performance.
What our site analytics count
We count pageviews, estimated daily browsers, approximate 30-minute sessions, traffic sources, referring domains, device classes, visible reading time, scroll depth and outbound clicks. Sponsorship reporting counts viewable ad impressions and clicks. Booking-link clicks are not completed bookings.
What our analytics do not store
Our custom analytics do not store names, email addresses, cookies, precise location or raw IP addresses. A random browser identifier is stored on this site and rotated daily; a session identifier expires after 30 minutes of inactivity or at the day boundary. These identifiers are not shared across sites and are removed from server records after daily aggregation. Visitor totals are daily estimates, not distinct people across a month. Browsers that block storage are excluded from visitor estimates but may still contribute pageviews.
How long data stays detailed
Anonymous page events are rolled into daily totals. Long-term reporting uses aggregate counts rather than individual visitor histories.
Newsletter and forms
If you voluntarily join a newsletter or contact us, the information you submit is handled separately from anonymous site analytics and is used for the purpose you requested.
Your browser privacy signals
Our custom analytics does not run when the browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals that we can detect.
Infrastructure
Like nearly every hosted website, our hosting and security providers may process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site. That infrastructure processing is separate from the custom aggregate analytics described above.
